Baby boy #2 is almost here so I thought it was just fitting to celebrate his arrival with a photo session from this past fall!

The Butts Family and I go way back. I traveled with Hannah to Eurasia in college AND I was their wedding photographer. Now that the Butts have grown their family, it is so sweet to watch them be fun parents!

Being pregnant during a pandemic is no joke and I have so much compassion for the Butts family who have navigated this weird covid world while being also pregnant with a toddler at home!

Many of you know, I had a baby summer of 2020 when there still was no vaccine or end of this pandemic in sight. I wore a mask for the 12 hours I was in labor and the midwife who delivered my baby was dressed in protective gear head to toe – she looked like she was wearing a space suit! I know many mothers had to labor alone during the pandemic and thankfully I did not have to labor alone! My husband was by my side in the delivery room but we could have no visitors. Anyone who has had a baby during this pandemic probably experienced more anxiety than under “normal” circumstances. But at the end of the day, when my baby was born, I forgot how stressful it was having a baby during covid because I was so in love!
