Family Session

The Armbruster Family

If you live out of state from your extended family, what is one thing on the to do list when y’all get together?

At least in my family, when we are ALL together we “try” to take a photo. At some point after dinner when people are avoiding the dishes one of the someone says “oh we should take a group pictures!” The kids are tired ready for bed and the lighting isn’t the best. So someone puts their iPhone on the mantel and attempts a timer photo. It takes 5 tries to get a photo of almost everyone kinda looking at the photo. The flash goes off and its an ok picture. In my opinion, for family photos ESPECIALLY extended family photos – its always best to plan ahead AND leave it to a professional.

Well, the Armbruster’s were smart and planned ahead to avoid some awkward extended family photo selfie/mantel timer photo. They hired me lol In all seriousness, when extended families get together after a while of not seeing one another it is so special for me to be apart of taking their family photos.  From experience it can be hard to set up an iPhone on a mantle and then try to squish in 10 to 15 different people and snap a pic that is not blurry and in focus with people actually looking at the camera. So I’m just really glad that this family chose me to take their mini reunion pics.

One of my favorite things about this photoshoot was watching the cousins relationship. You can tell these cousins have a BLAST together and miss each other in-between visits. The whole family arrived relaxed and smiling which made my job that much easier!

Y’all, We got ALL the photos! Grandparents with the grandkids, sibling photos, family photos, father daughter photos. We got it all! The cousins had fun and showed off there personalities. It was a good time and stress free!
