Pet Portraits

There’s one thing I know about pets. Pets are family. Is this controversial? I don’t know but I said it lol Growing up, I asked my parents for a dog but we got 2 cats instead. I loved my cats. I was with them their whole life and they were with my family through a lot of tough times. When they passed away, it was really hard on my family especially my mom. So to remember them, my mom has a framed picture of the cats together. If you have aren’t a dog or cat person you may not be able to relate to wanting to frame a photo of a dead pet – so all I am going to say is “pets are family members” lol Anyways, I didn’t share that story to make you feel bad or feel weird lol but I shared that story to make the point that if pets are family members too, you deserve a nice photograph of them that is worthy of being framed. When you share life with a pet they join you on the ups and downs. When they are “gone” someday, you will wish you had a few really nice photos with them or of them. I did a series of pet portrait events this fall for apartment communities in Uptown. Here are a few gems from those sessions.
