She’s here! She’s here! She’s here!!!! Y’all I am just warning you know if you look at these photos of baby Cupples you may just get baby fever. Baby fever is strong around this little one lol
Have you ever been to a birth before? No, not your birth. Like watched someone else give birth. Other than this one time on a sheep farm I happen to assist/watch a baby lamb get born I have never watched another mother deliver her baby. I have three children but that’s different than watching someone labor and deliver. Just a few weeks ago I saw life delivered out of another mother and it literally blew my mind! I’m not a doula or a midwife BUT I was the photographer for my friends home birth! And it was AWESOME!
Spoiler alert I am not going to show you any photos from the birth lol
Mamma had so much patience waiting to go into labor. Anyone who has been pregnant before can attest that the last few weeks of pregnancy may be the hardest because you are so uncomfortable with such a large baby taking so much space in your body but also you just want to meet your sweet baby. Like now! Though this was her 3rd child – baby was 10 days late. So PTL when mamma when into labor naturally!
During labor momma had so much strength and poise. Yes, she was in intense pain. But she handled it well and wasn’t bossy or demanding. This women was in the ZONE. I was so encouraged by her zen like mindset and when the contractions came she road the wave of pain until it was over. When I am in labor my husband always reminds me that it is a marathon not a sprint. It’s hard to accept at the time but it helps with setting my expectations for the reward at the end of the race. A little while after midnight this beautiful little baby was ready to meet her family!
SHE’S FINALLY HERE! Hey baby!!! And guys, baby was born in her amniotic sac which is so rare! I have never seen a baby born outside of my body let alone a baby born in their amniotic sac. I think like 1 and 80,000 births are born in their sack of waters and that is just so cool that I was able to capture this moment!
All this to say moms are warriors and birthing a baby is truly mind blowing.
Baby Q was born in the wee hours of the morning when it was still dark outside and so a few days later we took newborn photos at a local park. Her sisters are always asking momma “can I hold her” and “is it my turn to hold her yet?”. Everyone is so thankful that this healthy baby is here. The park we chose to do this session at was peaceful just like baby. Her whimsical sisters were cuddling her like their favorite doll. The grandparents were they were watching and in the distance there was a weeping willow tree. It was just so calm and serene and just as life should be after a baby is born. Thank you God for blessing this sweet family with baby Q!
