Ok, so I can’t get enough of this family and their dog! Goldens are my favorite!

Fall is the time of year so many people are getting their photos taken because the weather is amazing, fall colors are perfect for photos AND everyone is in need of a updated family photo for christmas cards. When we rolled up to a beautiful park in Ballantyne there was quite a few people there – I had NEVER seen this park as full has it was this day.  Because their was many other families also getting their photo taken at this popular park, I had to be a little bit creative with some of our poses. But honestly, looking at the end results – these pictures look great and you would have never known how many people I need to dodge to make sure no one was in the background of the frame!  The kids and parents were so laid-back they were not bothered at all by the amount of people at the park. 

I grew up in a “cat” home and have never had a dog of my own. I begged my parents for a dog when I was 6 and my dad and I could not get my mom on board. So we kept our cats and added a fish that lasted 4 months lol I love taking photos of dogs because they have great personalities and they bring out an energy in their owners that is hard to draw out otherwise.  The coat on this pup is perfect for fall right?! 

We were all thankful the dog didn’t jump in the pond or chase after any squirrels during the session. but you know I would have been their photographing every moment if the dog made a mad dash for the ducks!

The last thing I want to say is that the the lighting was beautiful at gold an hour at this session and the leafs on the trees were the brightest of the fall this Sunday afternoon. What a cool family – what a great day to take family photos!
